VOLONTARIAT SOLIDARITÉ POUR L’AFRIQUE

Volunteering for Solidarity in Africa (VSA Belgium): become an actor of change

Volontaires

Our volunteering program

VSA offers international volunteering projects primarily intended for organized groups: scouts, youth centers, schools, associations and sports clubs.

These trips allow participants to get involved in a project that benefits the community, in collaboration with a local host organization, while enjoying a powerful intercultural experience.

On site, volunteers stay with host families and actively participate in activities defined with local partners: community projects, educational activities, entertainment or support for associations.

Advance preparation is essential in order to effectively meet the needs of the population, give meaning to the commitment, prepare the participants, and ensure the coherence of the project.

Our 4 pillars

Create change

VSA Belgium invites you to look at the world differently, to better understand cultural differences and to enrich yourself through them.

Create the future

By carrying out local actions to raise awareness of interculturality, you are working towards a more open, fairer and more sustainable world.

Why get involved?

You are in charge of a group and you want to:

  • Offer young people a meaningful international experience of solidarity engagement.

  • Promote youth engagement and encourage local and international citizenship.

  • Motivate and unite a group around a common volunteering project.

  • Create a non-school environment conducive to language learning.

  • Prepare young people for an active and engaged citizenship approach.

  • Inspire a desire to discover other cultures and ways of life.

  • Establish sustainable partnerships with local associations.

  • Develop collective skills: group life, teamwork, taking initiative, adapting and managing conflicts.
